Simple Herbal Tea

You will need:

  • dried chamomile flowers1 tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers
  • water2 cups of water
  • honey1 teaspoon of honey (optional)
  • tea infuserA tea infuser or strainer

Instructions

  1. First, bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or pot.
  2. While the water is heating, place 1 tablespoon of dried chamomile flowers into your tea infuser or strainer. Chamomile is a great choice for a calming, soothing tea.
  3. Once the water has reached boiling point, pour it directly over the tea infuser into your cup. This will allow the hot water to circulate through the chamomile flowers, releasing their flavor and beneficial properties.
  4. Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor will be.
  5. After the tea has steeped, remove the infuser from the cup. If you'd like to sweeten your tea, add a teaspoon of honey. Stir well and enjoy your homemade herbal tea.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different herbs for your tea. Mint, lavender, and lemongrass are all great choices. Always make sure your herbs are completely dry before using them to make tea.
